Recently, the delegation of teachers and students from Hungary-China Bilingual School visited Seven-color Flower Elementary School to sign a memorandum of friendly cooperation between the two schools and to establish an official friendly relationship with Seven-color Flower Elementary School, so as to further promote the cultural exchanges between the two countries. The distinguished guests who attended this event include YANG Yan, deputy director of Huangpu District Education Bureau, JIN Yi, head of primary education section and moral, physical, health and arts education section of Huangpu District Education Bureau, and Consul General Szilárd BOLLA and Mrs. BOLLA, representatives of students’ parents.
Signing of Memorandum of Cooperation, Establishing Friendly Relationship
Mr. BOLLA is the parent of Hungarian students Nora and Tito of Seven-color Flower Elementary School. He was deeply impressed by the cultural contents of the school with distinctive features of aesthetic education, the school running atmosphere with rich artistic characteristics and the traditional art courses offered by the school. Under his introduction and support, Hungary-China Bilingual School and Shanghai Seven-color Flower Elementary School have officially established friendly and cooperative relationship.
Hungary-China Bilingual School is a public school co-established by the governments of China and Hungary. It is a 12-year full-time school integrating primary school and high school education. Students of the school can learn Chinese continuously and systematically from the primary school section to the senior high school section. Chinese is a required credit-carrying course of the school.
In the future, the two schools will conduct exchanges and cooperation in Chinese teaching and traditional cultural courses, as well as many other areas, and will make their own sustained efforts in various aspects including the promotion of cultural exchanges between the students of the two schools, as well as between China and Hungary.
Mutual Presenting of Special Gifts and Expression of Deep Affection
After the signing ceremony, the two parties presented carefully prepared gifts to each other. Mr. BOLLA gifted to Seven-color Flower Elementary School a big Rubik's cube symbolizing the “colorful magic” of the blooming seven-color flower on behalf of the Consulate General of Hungary, Shanghai, so as to express the affections and good wishes from the Consulate General of Hungary, Shanghai for Seven-color Flower Elementary School.
Also, Principal LU Yanping of Seven-color Flower Elementary School gifted the “Seven-color Gift Bag” embodying the features of the school to Mr. BOLLA. The presentation of this seven-color cultural and creative piece represents the launching of friendly cooperation between the two schools by Seven-color Flower. “If you have a friend afar who knows your heart,distance cannot keep you two apart”. Through the special gifts, deep friendship for each other is extended.
Experiencing Featured Courses, Promoting Cultural Exchanges
Guided by the teachers and students of Seven-color Flower Elementary School, the students of Hungary-China Bilingual School experienced its sports and arts featured courses.
With the assistance of seven-color flowers, the high school students of Hungary-China Bilingual School collaboratively finished the artistic works of their liking. With one brushstroke after another, the hearts of students from China and Hungary are drawn closer together in cooperation, their affection for each other is furthered, and cultural exchanges are promoted.
High Hopes and Great Wishes by the Leaders
YANG Yan, deputy director of Huangpu District Education Bureau spoke highly of this signing ceremony and congratulated the two schools on the building of friendly relationship on behalf of Huangpu District Education Bureau. She also thanked Mr. BOLLA for his efforts to facilitate the friendly joint-development of the two schools. She hoped that in areas including “Chinese Language Publicity and China-Hungary Culture”, the two parties will better benefit each other. Huangpu District Education Bureau will offer full support to the cooperation between the two schools and help them conduct various exchanges and interactions, so as to jointly light up the “lamps” along the “Belt and Road” and jointly build a bright future.
This year also marks the 10th anniversary of Shanghai and Budapest’s becoming friendly cities. The memorandum signing of the 2 schools and their close future collaborations is a special gift to commemorate this anniversary. It will usher in a new chapter in the friendship between China and Hungary.
